Jeffrey G. Marsocci was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Lincoln, Rhode Island. He graduated from Mount Saint Charles Academy High School and earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Hofstra University. He also earned a Certificate Degree in Non-Profit Management from Duke University in 2004, was the Alumni of the Month for Hofstra University in June of 2013, and his firm was honored by the City of Raleigh with the 2011 Human Relations Business Award. Mr. Marsocci also became a Certified Medicaid Planner™ in 2014, a certification granted by the CMP™ Governing Board*, and is an accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2015, his law office became a Dementia Friendly Partner of the Orange County Department on Aging’s Dementia Friendly Business initiative.

In addition to working in his Care Assistance Planning, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration practice in Raleigh, Mr. Marsocci is the author of The Plain English Attorney Series that includes Estate Planning Basics, The Long Term Care Solution, and The IRA Trust, and includes additional books currently available on Amazon.com. Mr. Marsocci frequently holds seminars for clients, financial advisors, and other attorneys on topics related to the Life and Estate Planning field, as well as developing and presenting continuing legal education courses for attorneys and life insurance agents. Mr. Marsocci is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and the National Italian American Bar Association.

He and his wife Kathleen live in Raleigh, North Carolina and work with various charitable and non-profit groups including the Human Rights Campaign and Kiwanis. Both are recipients of the President’s Call to Service Award through the Points of Light Foundation for completing more than 4,000 hours of service during their lifetimes.

* Certification is granted based upon a qualified candidate demonstrating a mastery of the skills and knowledge of the subject matter. To achieve certification, a CMP™ must meet certain education and/or experience requirements, show proficiency in Medicaid Planning through a thorough examination, and commit to adhere to the highest in professional standards. A CMP™ also subjects himself or herself to discipline by the CMP™ Governing Board. A Certified Medicaid Planner™ is not necessarily an attorney, so this designation is not governed or regulated by any state bar association.

Michael Brooks

Michael Brooks was born in Wilmington, North Carolina where he graduated from college and began a career as a captive insurance agent with Bankers Life in 2006. Within a year, he earned his first Medicare Agent of the Year award through hard work and a passion for helping others. Wanting to put his client’s best interests first, Michael chose to go independent and joined a national insurance agency in Wilmington in 2009. He was again awarded Agent of the Year in 2009 and 2011 from over 100 agents for his commitment to clients, ethics, and ability to earn their business. In 2015, he joined Asset Protectors & Advisors in Raleigh and spent a year training under a Certified Registered Investment Advisor.

Michael has an office in Charlotte and travels to Raleigh for his work with the Care Assistance Center. Over the past decade, Michael has helped protect thousands of individuals and their families from unexpected life occurrences, loss of loved ones, long term care, and asset preservation. He understands the concepts of carrier products, Medicare, nursing care, and smart planning. Michael is the oldest of four siblings and enjoys supporting his local community through meet-ups, volunteer work, and educational workshops, as well as outdoor activities such as sports and hiking. Michael’s life focus is to positively enrich his clients’ lives while striving to help make the world a better place.
